The US Marshal’s Service has lost a federal prisoner in the area, and Amy finds herself fighting on all fronts. Her only hope is an amateur scientist named Preston Baum.

“Burning Finger Man” is the story of Ben Cortman, a housing authority policeman who spearheads a summer-long manhunt for a seriel rapist in the Hite Towers Housing Project of San Antonio’s west side. The manhunt forces Cortman to confront the demon of his own pride and the horrors of vigilante justice.

Joe McKinney is a homicide detective for the San Antonio Police Department. He received his Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
